Dreams About Flying – I feel like God when I remember that I am able to fly in my dreams.
One of the absolute best dreams that I have ever had in my life is the ability to fly. How cool is just taking off whenever you want to and the feeling of breeze smacking against your face as you fly anywhere you want to, with no worries or fear of heights. I think my fear of heights would make these dreams nightmares, but this is not the case. I think that would have to do with the fact that when I fly, it’s different from being on a high rise building or in an airplane. When I fly in these objects, I know I am not in control. But in my dreams, when I am flying myself, I realize that I am completely in control, and therefore, not afraid of heights.
I must admit, that most of the times when I fly in my dreams I usually realize that something is not right. Within minutes or maybe sometimes, even seconds, I am no longer fooled into thinking that I dreaming. That usually causes me to wake up pretty quickly. But I still try to force myself to sleep as long as I can so I can enjoy flying, even though I realize that it’s a dream that I will wake up from very soon.

One time I started levitating in my dream and I instantly looked around and thought to myself, this is too good to be true, you know: like when someone wins the lottery and their first thought is, “I don’t want to wake up from this dream!” So I quickly decided to fly around for as long as I could before waking back up. I saw many beautiful things from a bird’s eye viewpoint. The city and the houses were beautiful and enigmatic and the skyline was a perfect, purplish orange color. The breeze was just right as it gently bounced off of my face and I floated on thin air.
When I woke up, I thought to myself, “How amazing was that?”

I think that when people dream about being able to fly, it represents a power that they are holding within. I think that subconsciously, we are realizing our abilities and that we are in control of our lives and destinies. I believe that all people have this power, but only a small percentage of people are able to recognize their truest virtues. With that being said, these types of dreams are perceived by me as gifts from God.
I know that there are some people with amazing powers, who are able to control what they dream about before they sleep each night. I know that takes a powerful mind and awesome will power to achieve, but think of how rested and happy they must be to always wake up from good and peaceful dreams that they were totally in control of. Now that’s a skill I need to master!
